Science Safari 2017


The Department of Curriculum Management is organizing the fourth edition of the Science Safari. This initiative targets Year 8 students and will involve an exciting treasure hunt with clues focusing on scientific knowledge, skills and competences.
Science Safari 2017 will be held in the grounds around the Science Centre at Pembroke on Saturday 18th March 2017. A programme of the activity is attached to this circular. Transport to and from Pembroke needs to be organized by the participating school.
Each school can register any number of teams. Each team comprises three students. Teachers are responsible for ensuring parental consent for event participation. Each student needs to get along basic stationery eg. pen/pencil and a packed lunch and drink. Students are asked to wear casual clothing and comfortable walking shoes preferable trainers.
During the activity, accompanying teachers/parents can participate in a guided tour around the Pembroke Heritage Trail held by a Nature Trust representative.
Interested teachers are kindly requested to compile and submit the registration form by Friday 24th February 2017.
The prizes include a Science Kit to each student of the first three teams.
