The Department of Curriculum Management is organizing a mathematics and science popularization event targeting Year 6 students.
The event entitled X’hemM? L-Imġarr will be held from Monday 3rd April to Friday 7th April 2017. The aim of the event is to engage pupils in hands-on mathematical and scientific activities promoting a problem-solving approach, outside the classroom. The event will be held at Mġarr, Malta.
Transport to and from Mġarr must be organized by the schools. Heads of Schools are responsible for ensuring parental consent for pupils’ participation in the event. Pupils are requested to meet at Mġarr village square at 09:00. It is recommended that on the day pupils put on their school tracksuit and trainers. Pupils are asked to take writing material, a clipboard and a packed lunch.
Teachers and Learning Support Assistants accompanying the pupils are expected to join the pupils during the whole duration of the activity.
Interested teachers are kindly requested to compile the registration form attached and forward it through the Head of School to Ms Mary Rose Spiteri on firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 17th February 2017.
